Obituary of John Joseph Spratt
John Spratt, 40, Carpenter with a Generous Spirit
April 3, 1984 – October 18, 2024
John Spratt, a skilled carpenter known for his quiet strength and generous spirit, passed away unexpectedly on October 18, 2024, at home, surrounded by his parents. John was a talented carpenter, a man of quiet strength, and a loving family member. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Born in Manhattan, New York, John was deeply proud of his Irish heritage.
He loved sharing stories of his family history and his connection to Ireland. A skilled craftsman, John found peace in working with his hands, whether building beautiful furniture or tending to his garden. He was known for his generosity and willingness to help others, always ready to lend a hand to a neighbor or bring one of his delicious apple pies to a family gathering.
John is survived by his loving parents, Bridget and Martin Spratt; his siblings: Mark (husband Matt), Katherine (husband Steve), Mary (husband Len), Steve (wife Jessica), and William (wife Kellie); and his cherished nieces and nephews: Sean (wife Sandi), Andrew, Stevie, Aidan, Chloe, Liam, Colin, Onyx, Spike, Ruby, and grand-niece Lexi. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Tessie, and countless friends. Though his loss is deeply felt, John's family and friends find comfort in knowing he is at peace.
