Obituary of Linda D. Harris

Linda D. Harris (nee Hoffelmeyer) died August 22, 2023. Linda was born March 24, 1947 in Flushing, NY. She was the loving mother of Carol Ann (Mark), JJ (Kerry) & Elizabeth (Jason). She is pre-deceased by her son Frankie. She was a loving Mema to Jacquelynn, Bryan, Erica, Connor, Jayson, Samantha, Aiden, Joshua & Megan. She was also a loving sister to Carol and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Linda's first love had always been her children. As her children grew older, she returned to college and earned a Bachelor's Degree from Baruch College. She did so by attending classes at night and relentless work during the day. She took her love of school and education to her employment at LaGuardia Community College where she worked as an associate registrar, promoted to HR Associate, for 35 years. After a fulfilling career, she retired in 2017. Linda was a beloved member of the Sunnyside community and enjoyed her summers on Lake Wallenpaupack. Nothing made her happier than a good book and sunshine surrounded by those she loved. Mom will be forever missed, always loved and never forgotten. Visitation will be Sunday, August 27 from 4-8PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Cremation will be private.
