Richard E. Franqui, age 70, of Sunnyside, died Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Mt. Sinai Hospital Of Queens of Astoria, NY. Richard was born January 6, 1947 in Bronx, NY. He retired from Local 32BJ, as a Doorman. Beloved husband of Rosalba (nee Benitez). Loving father of Lori Franqui-Vore (Eric), Brenda Franqui-Lombardo (Joseph), Tracy Franqui-Rosado (Javier). Cherished Grandfather of Demmetrius Carrero Jr., Deanna Ruiz, Logan Vore, Julianna Rosado, Brielle Vore, Adrian Rosado, Bryce Vore and Brayden Vore. Dear Brother of Alex Franqui, Maria Franqui, Elsie Caraballo, Gilberto Franqui Sr. and Edward Franqui. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, March 30 from 2-5PM and 7-9PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Queen Of Angels RCC, 44th Street And Skillman Avenue, Sunnyside, NY. Burial will be in Calverton National Cemetery after the mass.
