Obituary of Josephine Gravina

Josephine Telesco Gravina, 85, of Sunnyside and Long Beach, New York, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2013. Josie was born in New York City on May 15, 1928, to Donato Telesco and Jennie Carlucci. She was predeceased by her husband, Barney Gravina. As a wife and mother, she devoted her life to caring for her family. She will always be remembered for her wonderful, contagious laugh, being a terrific cook, her generous spirit, and her never-ending hospitality toward family and friends. Josie will be missed dearly by her children Bernadette Kenny and her husband Joe, Francine Gravina and her husband Anthony Luzzi, Joseph Gravina and his wife Janine, and Marybeth Lindberg and her husband Doug and by her grandchildren, Elizabeth Szeliga and her husband, Drew, Melissa and Michael Lindberg, Jacqueline, Gabrielle, Delaney, and Danny Gravina, and her new great-grandson, Luke Szeliga. She is also survived by her sister, Angela Reilly and her husband Edward, and many loving nieces and nephews. Services will be held Wednesday, July 9 at Lynch Funeral Home, in Sunnyside, NY with a mass Thursday morning at 10 am at Queen of Angels Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
