My prayers go out to the Woods family,
Do Note Stand At My Grave and Weep by Mary Elizabeth Fryre
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die!
In Jesus' name, Amen. Mary Juckniess

May God find a place of eternal peace for her soul. I was fortunate enough to meet Maureen through my dental practice and also got to meet her loving husband and her children. She was a strong and valiant woman and created a beautiful family, and for that, we are all fortunate.

Dear George and Family,
We have shared so much throughout the years -- plays, dinner, Christmas shows, lobsters, pool parties, and even some tough times. We feel the weight of the loss of Maureen and we will truly miss her. Know that we are here for all of you and would feel blessed if you would share your grief with us and allow you to move on.
We have been remembering the many occasions we shared and we smile and laugh at the memories of Maureen's special "glow" after a few glasses of wine. From lobsters in the swimming pool to losing her shoe in the orchestra pit at "Chicago," she was always a lot of fun to be with and left us with so many memories to treasure.
While we are saddened beyond belief at Maureen's passing, we feel blessed to have had her in our lives and proud and honored to have known this beautiful, loving, selfless, and caring lady for over 50 years, who will live forever in our hearts.
God bless you Maureen and may you rest peacefully in His loving arms!
We will never forget you!
With our love always and deepest condolences,
Joanne and John Karlson

Great relationships, so rarely won,
Burn brightly, for their time in the Sun.
When it’s time, and they are gone,
In our memory, they live on.
I remember.

Maureen and I met when her family moved into the Celtic Apts. We became good friends which lasted over 60 years. I was a bridesmaid at Her and George’s (Prince Charming) wedding. Her parents would often take us to Rockaway for a day of fun in the sun and in return she would come out to Rock Point with my family. We had a good time in Rocky Point hanging out on the beach and enjoyed dancing at the local establishments at night with all the Rocky Point crowd of kids from Queens whose parents also owned houses also. We would enjoy going to Mt Snow to visit a friend who rented houses at Snow. The Hamptons was another great adventure. We always had a good time and Maureen was a lot of fun. She will be surly missed as a light has gone out in our lives.

Maureen Woods, my cousin, we go back to the beginning of time together. We share many memories growing up together from visiting each other’s homes to visiting Nana and Greenpoint. The parties we had with the Stagg family and all our cousins gave us great memories. as we grow older, she was like sister to me because I had four brothers. When we got married, we were each other’s made of honor and we never lost contact with each other. Maureen and George and her kids often came to Yankee Street and then the fun began. in later years We enjoyed trips together to Alaska on a cruise and Turks and Caicos many times with tears in my eyes I’ll miss her dearly as I write this. With all our love, Kathy and Michael O’Flaherty.
PS I would like to add that Maureen And Mike were always very compatible. They loved looking at the desert menu first.
