Obituary of Ionel Costake
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ionel Costake, a pillar of strength, love, and kindness in our lives. Ionel departed from this world on February 7th 2024 leaving behind a legacy of warmth and compassion that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born in Bucharest, Romania on October 24th 1958, Ionel was raised with values of integrity, resilience, and empathy. These qualities shaped his character and guided him throughout his life's journey. He was a devoted husband to Marina, sharing a bond of love and devotion that served as an inspiration to many. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and unwavering support for each other. They were married for 43 years.
As a father, he was a beacon of strength and guidance to his children, Florina and Kristina. He instilled in them the importance of hard work, perseverance, and kindness, laying the foundation for their success and nurturing their dreams with unwavering encouragement.
Ionel's role as a grandfather brought him immeasurable joy and fulfillment. He cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, Julianna and Arianna. He imparted wisdom, sharing stories, and created cherished memories that will be treasured for generations to come.
He was a loving son, supportive brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, devoted husband, cherished father, father-in-law, dutiful grandfather and a friend to all who knew him.
In his leisure time, Ionel enjoyed traveling, fishing, finding solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether it was spending time with family, pursuing his passions, or lending a helping hand to those in need. Ionel approached each day with a spirit of gratitude and generosity.
Ionel's departure leaves a void in our lives that can never be filled. Yet, we take comfort in the memories we shared, the lessons he imparted, and the love he bestowed upon us all. Though he may no longer walk beside us, his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us, reminding us to live each day with kindness, compassion, and love.
In honoring Ionel's memory, let us strive to carry forward his legacy of love and compassion, spreading warmth and kindness wherever we go.
Funeral services will be held at Lynch Funeral home, February 12, 2024 4-8 PM. Church services will be on February 13th 2024 10 am at St. Nicholas Church 45-03 48th Ave, Queens, NY 11377. Burial services will immediately follow at All Faiths Cemetery 67-29 Metropolitan Ave, Middle Village, NY 11379
May he Rest in Peace, knowing that he was dearly loved, fondly remembered and will be profoundly missed. He will always hold a special place in our hearts.
