(Computer) Bob was de facto my oldest buddy in NYC. I had no idea that he had passed, I found this obituary after my text messages had remained unanswered. We shared our passion for MAC, music and photography. I am sad, but at the same time I consider myself extremely lucky that I shared almost three decades calling Bob my friend. Bob, i just sent you a link with some cool recordings you would have appreciated, I hope we will be able to talk about Brian Eno again. Rest in peace, my friend! Nikolaus.

I had the pleasure of being Bob's co-worker for the past 9 years. He was Intelligent, Funny, Kind and he Always said it like he meant (which I truly respected). His passing was shocking & it saddened me. The Friday before he passed was when I last saw him. That Laugh of his brought me right over to his desk & I was excited to see him in the new office; he was "in the building"! We fist-bumped & chatted a bit, but even as I sit here & reminisce, what still makes me giggle is his infectious laughter & big personality. You KNEW when Bob was in the office & no matter what kind of day I was having, that burst of laughter that was unique to him always made me say, "Bob's in the building"! I will truly miss him & I send my warmest condolences to All who knew & loved him!

I had the pleasure of working with Bob for the past 2 years. Bob was someone that I could talk shop with, jam out to TOOL in the construction office, brain dump ideas off of him, crack on political views etc. Besides Bob being a live version of a construction Wikipedia, Bob had a great sense of humor. I can recall multiple moments where he or I would splurge out a wise crack one liner remark during a meeting or in a general conversation and he would respond with his trade mark drawn back face tucked into his neck frozen giggle and then would burst out into a loud genuine belly laugh. It was truly contagious..
Thank you for the knowledge and the laughter Bob...you will be missed.

Bobby and I worked together for decades; dating back to his first tenure at Monadnock. We shared too many memories to mention. We would take trips down memory lane sharing nostalgia, good conversation, a little gossip, and always laughter.
He loved music and would share with me obscure covers of my favorite songs, White Rabbit and Free Bird. I still have a CD he made for me a decade ago.
Going back around 30 years or so I sat next to Bobby at a wedding and "taste tested" the food so he would know it was okay to eat. I was checking for meat because he was in a vegetarian stage. Fortunately, on January 17, 2024 I sat next to Bobby during my retirement dinner; encouraging him to eat some chicken and pasta. Enjoying each other's company; 2 co workers who became friends over the decades. It was wonderful to celebrate with him.
I am deeply saddened at his passing. I will miss our interesting conversations, his wittiness and his laughter.
When Bobby went on vacation he wouldn't leave a typical out of office message. Instead, he left a message with meaning. Below is one of those messages.
"We live in an age which is so possessed by demons, that soon we shall only be able to do goodness and justice in the deepest secrecy, as if it were a crime."
Deepest condolences,
Josephine Hornby
