Dearest Bobby Joe, Margie, (John) & Hickey Family.. Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies and condolences. We all have been praying & offering our daily masses for the Tita Manuela (Monette) . We will always remember her kindness, her loving and caring ways, her smile, her stories and most of all her life of devout prayers to the Lord. We love her and is too dear to us all, but God loves her more and she accepted & took Gods hand with joy saying im free. Here I am Lord. To All of us she left behind, knowing my sister, she would say dont grieve at my parting, share my joy, as God wanted me now He sets me free. Manang Mani in her lifetime is full of self giving & generosity, bringing souls to God by her prayerful way of life. In fact the greatest legacy she taught me was the devotion to our Mother of Perpetual Help novena every wednesday since I was 5 yrs old as I was her constant companion in attending her weekly novena at La Consolacion Catholic School in Bacolod. I am 83 yrs old now & have kept & resolve to keep the devotion till my last breadth. How i wish and surely the wish of Manang Mani that the Hickey Family & grandchildren would continue and develop a sincere, meaningful & personal relationship with the Lord & with our Mother of Perpetual Help & experience the solace, peace and joy it brings to our life. I loved my Aunt very much. I never knew her without a smile. There was one time I was horribly I’ll, in Manila. When she found out she called me, in the hospital, to see if I wanted her local relatives to come by. I respectfully declined as I was getting released. That was the type of person she was, always finding a way to ease the pain of others. May she Rest in Peace.
