When I came into the Lips/Dragisics family 44 years ago, Uncle Rudy and Aunt Jo were so welcoming and loving to me then and throughout the years. When Michael and I would visit NY, we would always visit Uncle Rudy and Aunt Jo or they would come out to Hicksville to see us as well. There were lots of fun dinners and poker games! Uncle Rudy was a great host and he always had great stories to tell. Whenever Michael would call Uncle Rudy and Aunt Jo, they always had time to speak with me. I know he's at peace and with his beloved wife.
I love you Uncle Rudy!!
I'm saddened we cannot come to NY, but Michael is still in hosp. Uncle Rudy will be in both mine and Michael's hearts forever!

Uncle Rudy. Handsome, warm, personable, hardworking. Grandma nicknamed him 'Rudy' after the heartthrob of-the-day, Rudolph Valentino, and it stuck! So much so that they named their second son Stephen too. My mother, 'Sister', told stories that she would be so mad when she had to bring her annoying little brother on her dates. The great fun the cousins, Viola, Joe Nagy, Rudy and Stevie would have when they stayed with Aunt Gussie at her NYC apartment. How Rudy and Stevie always fought over who would wear the white shirt that Grandma had freshly washed, starched and ironed. A high school basketball star who was recruited and enlisted by the Navy. I went to Aunt Jo and Uncle Rudy's wedding. I remember because I wore my first pair of nylon stockings. No pantyhose then! Aunt Jo and Uncle Rudy were wonderful hosts. Good food and drinks. Great omelets too. They loved and were proud of their family. I have a tear in my eye and warmth in my heart. Jo-Ann

My brother-in-law Rudy was always a great host along with my sister Jo who was an excellent cook - especially Hungarian dishes. He welcomed guests with specialty drinks particularly. I miss them both and their kinship and hospitality over the years. Margaret
