I just stumbled upon this news now on Facebook. Robert was a brother of mine. We both went to Pearl River HS, both Marines and both were in Iraq. We both had our problems after we got out. We used to call and text to help each other out. Then we lost contact, so so sorry to hear about your loss. I pray for y’all….

You were my friend and you were my brother. Always smiling, always laughing and always joking around. In the 23 years of friendship we never had an argument, just a healthy loving relationship that I will always cherish and forever miss. Our bond is unbreakable. I’m so sorry I couldn’t do more for you. I miss you dearly and will continue to miss you until we meet again. I love you for who you are and I love you for who you’re not. My heart is just broken but I pray you’re at peace. I pray one day I can find peace and I hope you’re looking out for the ones who always looked out for you. Thank you for your service, thank you for your sacrifice, thank you for the friendship and the love and thank you for being a major part of my life. Come to me and stay if you can. “All we got is us” May you rest peacefully in the kingdom of Heaven where you no longer hurt, eternally safe under the care of God.

My deepest condolences to Robert and Eileen Taylor. I met them both March or April of 1992, that's when I started working for Eileen's father as a doorman he was my superintendent. Then I met the kids, Robert must have been about 11 and Mickey D he was so little and Heather.the boys always running around and laughing just being kids. I was so shocked to learn of Roberts passing it brought me back to the memories of meeting him as a young kid and how happy he was. I remember when he went off and joined the Marines and I told him don't be a hero and to keep his head down you'll make it back you'll be fine and I hugged him very tight I felt his skinny body, he was just a kid will always be a kid to me.
Rest in peace Robert and watch over your loved ones.
