Obituary of Jovita Layug

Jovita "Inang" Layug, age 84, of Talavera, Nueva Ecija, Philippines passed away on the 24th of January 2020 in New York City. Jovita is survived by her daughters: Ana, Susanna and husband Percival, Lea and husband Raul, and Lana and husband Steve; by her daughter-in-law Elizabeth and husband Dave; by her grandchildren, EmmaLiza, Emson, Paula, Elaiza, Marcel, Emmanuel, Laureen, Dionner, Pamela, Moises, Kristina, Nikka, Ava Sophia, and Mhaira and husband Ian; by her great grandchildren Elijah Jericho, Alexa Jewel, and Yzzabella; by her nephew, Mario and wife Aurora. She is preceded by her husband, Juanito, and her son, Emmanuel. Visitation will be Friday, January 31 from 7-9PM and Saturday, February 1 from 4-8PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 3rd at 10:00 AM at Queen of Angels Church, 44-04 Skillman Ave, Sunnyside, NY 11104. Cremation will be in Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle Village on Monday, February 3 at 11:30 am.
